Mail wont send from Mailbox on Exchange 2013 Server in 2007 > 2013 Migration

Hello,

I am currently involved in doing a Migration from Exchange 2007 (On SBS) to a full Exchange 2013 system.

I have followed all of the Microsoft documentation and everything "Seems" to be OK.

However I have moved a test users mailbox from 2007 to 2013 which completed successfully. But if I try to send a test email the email gets sent, I have a copy of it in my sent items but the mail does not get received. (Until 24hrs later).

I am also unable to send emails from Mailboxes on 2007 to mailboxes on 2013. There are no errors just nothing is received.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Do I need a DAG for the communication between 2007>2013

Couple of things I would check are the following..

- Does this happen within OWA as well?

- Have you checked message tracking or Queue Viewer to see if the message is being delayed anywhere?

There should not be able additional configuration for Routing to work correctly between Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013.

Hi,

Try to test the suggestions given by Will.

You can use the below command to search the message tracking logs:

Get-MessageTrackingLog -ResultSize Unlimited -Start "3/28/2013 8:00AM" -End "3/28/2013 5:00PM" -EventId "Fail" -Sender "pat@contoso.com"

Also check your send and receive connector configuration .We can enable "anonymous users" on receive connector to test .

Please restart Exchange transport Services on both Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013 server .

More detailed information about message tracking log ,please refer to the below link:

David
